Kobe Port opened on January 1 , 1868. Since the Meiji era, it has been an area inhabited by foreigners, full of exotic customs. Now it is a very popular sightseeing spot in Kobe City, where many local residents and tourists from all over the world often come here for leisure, entertainment, dining and shopping.
The popular sightseeing areas here mainly include parks, mosaic gardens and Kobe Waterfront Paradise, among which Kobe Port Tower, Kobe Maritime Museum and Mosaic Ferris Wheel are the iconic architectural landscapes of Kobe Port. You can spend half a day here blowing the sea breeze, taking a walk, and spending a leisurely afternoon, which is very pleasant. At night, the Kobe Maritime Museum and the neon-changing mosaic Ferris wheel are very beautiful.
The park on the coast of Kobe Port has a beautiful and fresh environment. It is a good place for a stroll, and it is also a place for many locals to date. From time to time, you can see skateboarding boys.
The Kobe Port Tower here is very famous. The red tower is inspired by Japanese drums. It has beautiful curves and stands tall and gracefully on the edge of Kobe Port.
You can board the 91- meter-high fully transparent observatory to overlook the panorama of Kobe City and the harbor. You can also sit for a while at the revolving restaurant on the third floor of the observatory, drink tea and enjoy the surrounding scenery leisurely.
Next to the Kobe Port Tower, there is a building that looks like a wave or a white sail. This is the Kobe Maritime Museum. In addition to the beautiful appearance, there are also many attractions in the museum. You will see many ship models from ancient times to the present, learn anecdotes about oceans, ships, Japanese navigation history, and Kobe Port Tower. There is also a model ship with a future concept " Yamato No. 1 " is said to be powered by superconducting electromagnetism. It is novel and interesting, so don't miss it.
Not far from the Kobe Port Tower and the Maritime Museum, there is a unique building , the Oriental Hotel, which looks like a luxury cruise ship docked at the port. In addition, there is Kobe Port Earthquake Disaster Memorial Park on the east side of the park, so you might as well visit it if you have time.
Take a U- shaped walk along the bay from the park to reach the mosaic garden opposite, which is part of Kobe Waterfront Paradise. This comprehensive commercial area has shopping centers, restaurants, cinemas and other facilities.
Sitting on the Mosaic Ferris Wheel, you can enjoy a 360- degree view of the scenery of Kobe, as well as a romantic night view.
