Tainan is the birthplace of Taiwan. After Zheng Chenggong regained Taiwan, he established a government in Tainan. In 1683 , the Qing Dynasty set up a Taiwan government in Tainan.
Inexplicable people have a natural affection for such a place. The present is not the origin. Even if we want to explore its past chapters, what we read may be just a few words.
The temperature in Tainan is at least seven or eight degrees lower than that in Kaohsiung, that is, from the light of early summer to the preheating of late spring.
Both Anping Castle and Chikan City are well-known historical sites in Tainan. One was called Zeelandia City and the other was called Prominza City, which were built by the Dutch during their rule in Taiwan. They should not be defined by scenic spots. The two relics have marked the development trajectory of Tainan. The meanings that "sight spots" can carry are very limited, and such places are the hubs that can closely intertwine history and reality. .
Maybe the old castle sounds more mysterious and exploratory, so you can go anywhere you want.
Walking from the bus station to the ticket office, you can hear the cries of specialty snacks along the road. Passing by a seafood seller, you can vaguely feel the old life in the ancient city. There is no shouting, only the backs of the residents silently packing up several baskets of oysters.
After being built and expanded several times, the city of Rejalandia once became the center and trade center of the Dutch rule over Taiwan. After Zheng Chenggong recovered Taiwan, he also threw the name of Rezelandia into the sea, and the castle has a new name "Anping City" since then.
Looking up at the statue of Zheng Chenggong in the ancient castle, the hero is proud and full of ambition. His eyes are full of contempt for the Dutch military strength and his determination to regain the lost land. The name "Anping" is his expectation for the future generations of the ancient city.
Anping City was destroyed by British artillery fire in 1873 , and the city wall collapsed, leaving only one broken wall. During the Japanese rule, even the broken wall was leveled, and another square tower was erected, and a red brick watchtower and customs dormitory were built. , the former has become the commanding height of Anping City, and the latter is now the exhibition hall of Anping Castle.
In the exhibition hall, there are models of the city of Zeelandia in the Dutch period and various old cultural relics. The detailed historical records can be regarded as an index of Anping's history, but the real monument is the ruins of the outer wall of the city of Zeelandia on the south side of the castle. "Anping City" is the only place to pay homage to. More than 300 years have passed, and the roots of the tree have grown in the wall. This historic wall has also become a rare sculpture.
There is a ruins of a fort on the watchtower, engraved on it "in the mid-winter of the 19th year of Jiaqing, it was ordered to cast the cannon of the Taiwan Navy Association Standard Cannon weighing 1,500 catties". It can be seen that it was the main force for defending the city in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. There are many traces, but the solemnity of the ancient castle as a military important place is not lost. It is not difficult to imagine the magnificent fortress landscape from the solid structure of the mottled walls.
Anping Tree House is the most unique existence in the ancient castle. The magic of time is attached to an ordinary building. Under the vicissitudes and wrinkles, there is a heavy past hidden deep in the struggling and torn tree roots.
The predecessor of the tree house was the warehouse of Yingshang Tak Kee Co., Ltd., and later it was also called the office and warehouse of Nippon Salt Industry Co., Ltd. After World War II, Anping's salt industry declined, and the place gradually fell into disrepair, but the lush banyan trees around it did not stop growing. The branches and aerial roots of several banyan trees were intertwined. The original structure of the house was torn by the roots, and even the walls were climbed. Tree roots, tree roots gradually became the backbone of the wall.
Going deep into the tree house through the wooden plank road, suddenly, there seems to be a scene of workers carrying materials in and out. One meter of sunlight penetrates into the house through the trees, the shadows of the trees are mottled, and the light and shadow are intertwined. The history is as brand new as the future. The present may be as old as the past.
I was lucky in two ways. When I came to Chenggong University in the morning, I met students from the Department of Architecture taking measurements in a tree house; in a slightly larger tree house, I caught up with a small performance hosted by the Tainan City Cultural Bureau. The three girls who played and sang were a little shy, but hearing live singing in such an environment is already a blessing and satisfaction, and "Tropical Rainforest" seems more like a tropical rainforest.
Going out from the back door of the castle is a bustling commercial area, and there are also quiet small shops and private houses in the busy city. Although many houses have been beautified many times, there are still some clues of the past.
Walking into a small picture book store opened by two Japanese brothers and sisters, the interesting couplets make people look twice, and what is even more interesting is such a booklet called "Very Interesting Tainan", hand-painted by the brothers and sisters, a bit of Ukiyo-e style, The food, clothing, housing and transportation of Tainan people are vividly displayed on the paper.
Seeing all kinds of delicacies in the picture book, I feel thirsty and want to eat something. I walked to a fresh taro fairy and sat down. I have never eaten this thing in Shenyang, and I didn’t even know that it came from Taiwan. I ordered a relatively basic ingredient, about 50 Taiwan dollars, full of portions, sweet The sizzling ice is cold, and the addition of red beans and brown sugar adds a finishing touch, which is very beautiful. So much so that when I was looking for fresh taro fairy on the streets of Taichung, I couldn't taste the taste of Anping. Maybe it was different because of the blessing of the story.
After returning to the city from Anping, I finally ate a bowl of authentic Du Xiaoyue Danzai noodles in the evening. It is a small restaurant near Chikan City. With 120 years of food heritage, what I eat is not only the taste, but also the taste. A kind of memory, now, regardless of whether there is a "small moon" (every year from Qingming to Mid-Autumn Festival, there are many typhoons, and the fishing season is off-season), you can eat this steaming bowl of small and delicious. What stays in the noodle soup is mostly emotion.
As night falls, Shennong Street is ready to lift the veil. This century-old street has two faces, day and night. Every day from 18:00 to 2:00 the next day, the handicraft workshops and small shops on both sides will appear in powder. Sometimes the door is locked, no different from ordinary streets, even a little shabby. It's hard to believe that Shennong Street, which is about 4 meters wide and less than 100 meters long, is full of traffic!
The return of young people and the colorful lights have brought life to the streets and alleys. Every time and space where history and reality intersect will be like a dream.
