The predecessor of Anping Castle was the building when the Netherlands invaded Taiwan. The watchtower on the castle was a lighthouse built during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. The long-standing historical buildings have witnessed the development of the city of Tainan from ancient times to the present. There are still a lot of sightseeing places over there. It takes about half a day to visit Anping Castle. This time I didn’t go there because of the itinerary. If you are interested, you can go and see it.
If you don’t want to travel so far, you can walk Shennong Street and Hai’an Road in downtown Tainan. I think this is the most Tainan-style place.

Tickets of 200 NT dollars are less than 50 RMB, and the exhibition hall can not be visited in 2 hours. It is really worth the money, isn't it!
However, it should be noted that you are not allowed to take pictures in the internal exhibition hall, and remember to turn your mobile phone and other equipment into silent mode, and there is a timeline for the bus to the Chimei Museum, which runs every 30-50 minutes, so you can check the departure time first. After the end, you can go to the station and take a bus back to the city according to the time, otherwise you will have to wait for a long time if you miss a bus.
